American Cliff Swallow at Joss Bay

I paid a visit this morning to Joss Bay to see Kent’s first American Cliff Swallow. I arrived at around 10:30am, to the news it had gone missing for the past 20 minutes. Fortunately it appeared half an hour later, and over the next 15 minutes I was treated to a handful of close flybys. Photography was tough, but I managed a few record shots:

I stayed for a few more hours, and while it did continue to show well at times, I wasn’t able to improve on my photos. The bird was the 1st for Kent, and the 15th for Britain.
